Happy 13th Birthday Google

My Top 5 Google Chrome Extensions

#1 Screen Capture

Simply the easiest way to take a screen capture.

It allows you to capture:
- a region of the page
- the whole page
- or the visible content

After capturing your image, you can save it or copy it to a document. Now you can forget the "print screen" button of your keyboard !

#2 SEO Site Tools

If you happen to do SEO, SEO site tools is an extension you'll need everyday. Instead of going from website to website to get data about a link partner, SEO Site tools gives you all the information in one click. Just visit a page you would like to get a link from and click on the extension icon.

SEO Site Tools will then give you metrics like :

- Google PageRank
- SEO Linkscape metrics : Page authority, Domain rank
- Majestic SEO metrics: Indexed pages
- Social Media Metrics
- And even SEO suggesting about how to improve your site

#3 Google Chrome to Phone Extension

Imagine you're browsing an interesting site on your computer about birds (we all love birds don't we ?). And imagine that you love this site so much that you want to access it on your phone when you're on the go.

With the Google Chrome to Phone Extension you can send the URL address directly to your Android phone*. That means no need to type the URL again on your "never big enough" phone screen. It's magic.

And it doesn't only work for URLs. You can send text, maps and more from your computer to your phone.

#4 Chrome Toolbox

I use this app for ONE reason. It allows you to play almost any videos on the web in a stand-alone window and keep this window in front of all of the others.

It's just brilliant. You can put your video in the corner of your screen and no matter what you do on your computer, you'll never miss a part of it by accidentally opening a new window on top of it.

#5: Blog This!

Blog This! helps you post on your blog any articles you see on the web. Simply click the Blog This! Button and you'll be ready to publish the article on your blog and add a comment about it. Such a time-saver!

Wenite Tells You Where To Go Out

Looking for a place to go out in Montreal ?

...There's an app for that !

Wenite (www.wenite.com) is a website and iPhone app that allows you to see a live ranking of the most popular venues in Montreal according to :

- The vibe
- The seduction
- The attendance
- And the men/women ratio

How does it work ?

1. People inside the venue can rate the place with the iPhone app according to the previous criteria and share it to other users. (Android/Blackberry app coming soon).

2. People can consult the live ranking on their phone or on the website to help them decide where to go out.
